Supernovae (3:48)

 

 

Large stars end their lives with spectacular explosions called supernovae. In a supernova, the surrounding outer shell gets ejected into outer space. This is the stuff that you are made of.

The remnants of supernovae are either neutron stars, pulsars or black holes.
